If you do this you're probably a lame
All for some sneakers that don't release until Saturday. This was Wednesday afternoon. What a bunch of losers. Time for the kid to switch it up because this is just ridiculous.

Eyes bigger than you wallet
You don't need that shit.... If you can tell yourself that and mean it then, that's half the battle. Had to start telling myself that because Nike has a complete lack of respect for its consumer. Their taking the same "fuck it" approach as the music industry. Need an example ok no problem. Think about this, is it really a remix if you perform the same verse and just add people to the song? Do you see the connection?
Well Nike is implementing the same lack lusted marketing strategies and continue to laugh all the way to the bank! When you step back and look at the big picture they're doing nothing but using the same color ways over and over. What's even funnier is they continue to sell out!
I honestly never remember so many shoes coming out in similar color ways before the past two years. How many pairs of cool grey, entourage, sprite, wolf grey, south beach, space jam, galaxy, olympic etc, color ways do u really need? Sure the shoe design may be different but, all the shoes are the same color. I think P. Diddy put it best when he said "It's a Bentley to you but, to me it's a blue car."

Can't sell me bullshit, I know the prices
Here's the first entry of my "What's wrong with the sneaker game" series. So I don't lose anybody the abbreviated form will be WWWTSG. Here we have the Air Jordan 13 "Flint" addition very sexy, very iconic shoe on the outside looking in. Problem is that if you've ever owned this shoe then you know that the toe box on this shoe is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! After one or two good wears the big toe imprint on this shoe will be DISGUSTINGLY visible. With that being said, just saw someone trying to sell this shoe after it has been used numerous for an above retail price! These resellers or whatever they call themselves need to get a grip on reality fast. No matter how you try to dress it up used is used. If you put sugar on shit guess what.......IT'S STILL SHIT! Never really understood buying USED sneakers anyway.
The funniest thing is the terminology such as lightly used, near dead stock etc. Nothing but fancy was to say used. Some used sneakers are in good condition but never would I pay over retail for used sneakers that can easily be worn out. Obviously a lot of people would so I guess my point is moot. Forest Gump said it best....."Stupid is as stupid does." Everybody's a SELF PROCLAIMED sneakerhead but, few have done anything to earn that title. I'm humble enough to know I've come a long way but, have an even longer way to go. YOU GOTTA BE A STUDENT. BEFORE YOU BECOME A TEACHER!
Sincerely,
Student of the Game

Concussion Crisis
Concussion crisis? Really? These dudes are slamming into each other weighing 250 plus running full speed. Let's be serious people.
Fuck the consumer
I was just sitting on my couch and I had a random thought. It's crazy how ungrateful sneaker retailers have become. There are no lines when a new car is released. There are no lines outside of Gucci or any other high end retailer during a new release. The sneaker game is one of the few industries where you can expect to wait outside for hours just to purchase a product. You would think that this type of loyalty would warrant a big expression of customer appreciation no? Well, no is exactly right. Instead of customer appreciation you get stores who treat customers like shit.
When you walk in a store you're "greeted" by cocky employees with smug attitudes who act like you need the product more than they need your money. I thought the customer was always right? Or even worse you go to purchase a shoe and have to deal with insane prices above retail or are forced to buy something else in the store just so you can purchase what you really want. I remember when a store would be happy to have customers come in and spend their hard earned cash in their store but, now it's as if the stores don't need the consumer.
Of course I realize that this cockiness is due to the "sneaker craze" thats going on right now but, retailers beware. There's only a handful of TRUE sneaker enthusiasts out here and we're fed up. When this hype dies down are you sure customers will come to you to purchase products? If consumers no longer have to deal with long lines do you think they will come to your local store instead of a bigger chain? Places like Niketown, Footlocker, and Finishline can afford to experiment with pricing and sneaker release procedures because they're established and have been battle tested. Is your "Mom and Pop" shop battle tested? Just because you have more than one store do you believe your untouchable?
All I can say is I hope the benefits you reap from greed now aren't the reason you suffer later. The problem with most people is they don't see further than 5 minutes in front of their face. In lamens terms this simply means that they have no 5-10 year plan. I believe that it's thinking like this that will be the reason for the closure of many small sneaker shops once the hype disappears. It's simple, treat others they way you want to be treated.
Peace.

Summer (Bland) Jam??
People still go to Summer Jam? To put it nicely the lineup they have selected is a sign of the times we live in. On second thought I'll just come out and say it...... Their lineup is absolute trash but, it makes sense because that whose "hot" right now. Needless to say I won't be attending! Lmao!
